Anything but Typical by Nora Raleigh Baskin

Anything but Typical is told from Jason, a sixth grade boy with autism, point of view. Jason excels in writing but had difficulty with social relationships. His story is told honestly and his voice rings true. Jason deals with issues that all boy's age come up against but with a little more difficulty.
The book was difficult to put down and the voice rings true.
