Yellow Star by Jennifer Roy

In 1939 the Nazi's relocate four year old Syvia and her family to the Lodz Ghetto. Everyday is a struggle for survival and death is everywhere. Of the quarter of a million Jews that were relocated to Lodz only 800 survive. Of those 800 only 12 were children. Syvia is one those children and this is her story.

Written by Syvia's niece, Yellow Star, beautifully portrays family, survival and hope during one of the darkest chapters of the 2oth century.
