Matt Pin is the son of an American solider and a Vietnamese woman who was air lifted out of Vietnam amongst bombs and destruction. He lives in America with his adopted family that cherish and love him. Matt is haunted by the memories of the war torn country of his birth and the mother and baby brother he left behind in Vietnam.
When Matt enters the seventh grade evens in his life force him to make choices that will effect the course of his life. With the help of the adults that surround him, Matt begins to learn about love and forgiveness.
